Digital Learning System:
Digital Learning was launched in 2012 to enhance learning among students through modern sensory approach. The Cirtex Learning Portal is a comprehensive library of interactive digital content. The portal contains hundreds of activities, videos and quizzes based on Cambridge Assessment International Examination (CAIE) curriculum. Citrex content promotes higher order learning and leads to subject mastery through active learning and constructivism. We have found it particularly beneficial for reinforcing topics covered.
Loretto House also provides students with home access to Citrex Portal. Learners are assigned Digital Homework that checked and graded by their class teacher.
Music:
Children are gifted with a natural sense of rhythm. Singing songs together gives them a wonderful feeling of belonging in a group.
Reading Program:
Reading is the basis of self-study. Each class has a specially designed reading program which is implemented during the term. Reading contests are held regularly to promote reading proficiency.
Karate:
Karate provides children with a great outlet of energy. They are quickened in speed and agility. Karate also enables preschoolers to become more disciplined. Karate enhances self-confidence, responsibility in and out of the home, self- discipline and team work.
Football:
Sports are more than a game; they are a set of life lessons. Motor skills, strategic
thinking and even math skills are learnt by playing sports. Many studies focus on
the five āCāsā-competence, confidence, connection, character and caring.
Football develops agility, speed and stamina and also teaches children the
importance of teamwork.
Gymnastics:
Participating in gymnastics has tremendous physical and mental benefits. Physical activity improves focus that helps learners achieve academic excellence. The gymnastics program at Loretto House is a structured and sensory-rich program that focuses on strength, conditioning and fundamental gymnastics skills, suitable for young learners.
Art:
Research shows that art activities develop brain capacity in early childhood. Art
helps develop cognitive, social, emotional and multi-sensory skills.
